A glimpse into the future

Let’s pretend for a little while that things went back to normal and tomorrow we resume our amazing lives. For the sake of this exercise, let’s say that we have spent almost 2 years within the comfort of our homes. Come to think of it, sounds more plausible actually to happen, soon we will have been home for a year. Happy Anniversa-no?

What is the first thing we do? Do we call our loved ones and schedule a major get together? Burn all the masks? Do we go to the movies and have a marathon to make up for the lost time? Do we go pub crawling and by that I really do mean go out and about, drink until we can no longer walk. But more importantly, will there be any support to help us navigate this new normality?

Ad-hoc meetings where people learn to readjust to outside life, just like a prisoners’ rehabilitation program. Will we ever be fully reintegrated into society, or will we forever miss that piece of the puzzle? Just a global population of introverted loners, great!
Can someone teach us how to ride the subway again? Are we supposed to wave back to that weird looking man who stares into our soul? Do we touch stuff now?

There has to be an orientation day for going back into the wild, concrete jungle where dreams are definitely not made of, but slowly crushed.

I don’t have the answers, I think no one has, but I am expecting things to be quite complicated.
We are yet to find out how will our freedom look like.
